I live in Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA, with my husband, Harvey. We will be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary in October 2021. Our 27 year old son, Ryan and 12 year old golden retriever, Lucy also live with us.
By profession, I am an IT manager for Fulton Financial Corporation in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania nearing retirement. In my spare time, I can be found outdoors whenever possible enjoying nature through kayaking and hiking. I am also committed to environmental stewardship.
I am a certified Master Watershed Steward with the Penn State extension, a certified Creation Care Ambassador with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in collaboration with Blessed Tomorrow and a Faithful Green Leader with the Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeak. I also lead the Creation Care team at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
It is my belief that transformation is becoming someone you never thought or expected you would become and that transformation can occur intentionally or circumstantially. I have been blessed to experience both types of transformation in my life.
My hope in openly telling such a personal story is that others struggling through challenges will look at the transformation that has occurred in my life and say “because of you, I didn’t give up”. I want everyone to know that transformation is open to anyone. God will bring you to it and He will walk with you through it. You are never alone.
