Bina Bernard

Bina Bernard, like the central character in her novel, was born in Poland and has had a successful career in journalism. She was a founding editor of People magazine. Keeping Secrets is her first novel. She lives in New York City and Bridgehampton with her husband Walter Bernard, the graphic designer and art director. He has co-authored Mag Men: Fifty Years of Making Magazines, with his mentor and uber-graphic designer Milton Glaser, who was awarded the National Medal of the Arts in 2009.
