Anne Mortensen

Anne Mortensen, a storyteller, crafts near-future worlds in an algorithm-driven society. From typesetting to PR, café ownership, photography, and journalism, her varied career honed her eye for human moments data often overlooks. Her books explore AI’s collision with human needs, raising questions of authority, agency, and morality. She calls this hybrid “AI Thriller” or “AI Noir.”

Raised in El Paso, Texas, and Athens, Greece, Anne now lives in London, England, where she writes the Rising World series.
