Andrew Innes is a British writer from Cheshire, England, who lives in the castle city of Himeji, Japan. His writing often takes familiar settings and infuses them with unusual or uncanny twists, exploring how people react when the boundaries of reality shift. He is the author of The Short Story Collective: 13 Tales from Japan, and Spider Lily: Six Toxic Tales from Japan, both of which draw inspiration from Japanese life and culture. Alongside his writing, Andrew teaches at several universities across the Kansai region and enjoys hiking in the mountains, reading, and watching comedy shows.
