Jin Suk Bae

Jin Suk Bae is an Assistant Professor at the Soongsil Institute for Peace and Unification at Soongsil University in Seoul, Korea. She received her PhD at Brown University’s Department of American Studies. Her academic interest lies in researching the regional and global Korean diaspora in general and the onward or multiple migration of South Koreans in particular. Dr. Bae is the author of 《Korean Immigrants from Latin America: Fitting into Multiethnic New York》 (Lexington Books, 2021). She co-authored the book, 《Newcomers and Global Migration in Contemporary South Korea》 (Lexington Books, 2020). She also published journal articles, “Transnational Student Mobility: Educational and Social Experiences of Mixed-Race Koreans in Seoul” (2020) and “Diaspora, Mobility, and Food Culture: Continuity and Change in Dietary Habits and Foodways among Korean Return Migrants from Latin America” (2021).
