Janice Doppler

Janice Doppler was introduced to haiku and haibun via a haiku workshop at the local senior center. Her work has been published in peer-edited journals such as Acorn, bottle rockets, Frogpond, Modern Haiku, The Haibun Journal, Contemporary Haibun Online, and Drifting Sands. In 2021, she won second place in the prestigious Porad Haiku Award for her poem

Janice is a retired teacher and school administrator. She practices tai chi and qigong and enjoys bird watching, carving realistic birds from wood, nature journaling. Chinese philosophy is the thread that weaves these interests into the tapestry of her life. She lives at the edge of a forest in western Massachusetts.
