Willy M Black is a writer and a very pissed off Emergency Physician.

He has spent years on the frontline of the National Health Service, witnessing the chaos, compassion, dark humour and human fragility that come with life inside an Emergency Department. His writing blends honesty, wit and a sharp eye for detail, offering readers a rare and unfiltered look behind the scenes of the NHS.

He believes in the value of the healthcare system, and in telling the truth about it, even when the truth is uncomfortable.

Willy M Black is the author of the book series Does It Hurt When I Press Here?, offering a candid look into the workings of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) from the perspective of an Accident & Emergency (A&E) doctor. The books discuss the realities behind the scenes of Emergency Care, challenging common perceptions of the healthcare system. Black’s writing draws on personal experiences, highlighting both the challenges and absurdities faced by healthcare professionals.

His interest in theoretical physics and spirituality has led him to also publish a Sci-Fi novel called This Side Of The Wormhole and a (very short) self-help book called A Letter To A Friend.
