Franco Battaglia

Franco Battaglia earned his Italian Laurea inChemistry and Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY). He has done research at the Max Planck Institut für Strömungsforschung (Göttingen, Germany), Università di Roma Tor Vergata (Rome, Italy), State University of New York at Buffalo (Buffalo, NY) and Columbia University (New York, NY). He has been professor of Theoretical Chemistry, in Italy, at the Università della Basilicata and of Chemical Physics at the Università di Roma Tre and Università di Modena. He has made research contributions in various areas of theoretical chemistry and chemical physics, and has served in the ItaIian Government as Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Italian National Environmental Protection Agency. He collaborated with Il Giornale from 1999 to 2021 and since 2021 he has been collaborating with La Verità, both renowned nationwide Italian daily newspapers. He is a spokesperson for Clintel-Italia, the Italian section of Clintel, an international think-tank of 2,000 scientists who argue that there is no climate emergency attributable to humanity’s use of fossil fuels.
