Anna Maria Meyer

Dr. med. Anna Maria Meyer studied medicine at the University of Cologne from 2012 to 2018 and works as a doctor at the Cologne University Hospital in the Clinic II for Internal Medicine, which covers a spectrum of nephrology, rheumatology, diabetology, general internal medicine and geriatric medicine. She also completed additional training in nutritional medicine (BFD e.V.).

Dr. Meyer did her doctoral thesis in geriatrics on the improvement of care for older patients at the transition from hospital to home care. Through her research in the field of improving the development and health of older people, she won the German Society for Geriatrics (DGG) award for the promotion of interdisciplinary age research in 2017, and the Wilhelm Woorth Foundation award for age research in 2019. Her contributions and research articles have already been published in several qualified journals and edited volumes.
