Emilie Barcat

Émilie Barcat is a curious author passionate about creating.

A proud grandmother of four grandchildren, she draws endless inspiration from their world to write youth novels filled with humor, mystery, and adventure.

As a child, she devoured comics like Tintin and Gaston Lagaffe, as well as children’s books like Fantômette. Even today, her stories carry the same mischievous energy, a love for adventure, twists and turns, funny and endearing characters, and plots full of surprises.

She loves secret clubs, inseparable friends, brave heroes and heroines, and colorful adults who stand for true values — like Madame Le Floc’h, a quirky yet caring teacher.

Émilie writes like she plays: seriously, but with a sparkle in her eyes. And if she loves writing, it’s simply because it’s downright fun!

With the same playful and creative joy, she also designs cross-stitch patterns. After all, aren’t drawings and words just two ways to tell stories?
