Dr. Jessica Brown is a certified nurse practitioner, professor, wife, and mother of two.

She created The Gabby Series to teach children and families the importance of health and wellness and to highlight diverse voices in children’s literature.

Gabby Chooses a Healthy Snack is the first installment of The Gabby Series, which includes other titles like Gabby and the Beautiful Brown Butterfly—to be released next year.

Dr. Brown’s greatest passion is serving communities most negatively impacted by health disparities. She is dedicated to inspiring and improving health and wellness in those very same communities.

The founder of the independent publishing company Boundless Butterfly Press, Dr. Brown is currently writing her next children’s book and empowering families to live happily and healthy!
