Hello! Welcome to my author page.
I’m Shelli Owen, a first-time author. It took seven years of compiling material and writing before a rough draft was ready for "Mountain Rescue: a true story of unexpected mercies and deliverance." This book is now making its debut after the indirect help of my university professors; and the direct contributions of family and friends; besides an excellent developmental editor, a good copy editor, and outstanding book designers.
I'm also the mother of Mary—who this story is about and who is the contributor of several chapters in the book. Mary is the middle child among her siblings, Jessika, Rachel, Ruth, and Elijah.
Living with my husband, Bruce, in the Pacific Northwest where this story took place. Self-employed as a hopeful writer, artist, and Bible student.
Jesus is everything to me. Trying to learn and walk out His definition and example of love and goodness, through the power and help of His Holy Spirit that He gives, because of the everlasting mercy and grace of God, as His Word (in the Bible) reveals and promises, and as His Works (in and for all He has created) illuminate and demonstrate.
Favorite pastimes: walking/hiking; reading; bike riding; stargazing; river rafting; beach combing; camping with family or friends; watching movies or plays; word, literature, and human studies; drawing; printmaking; and painting.
