Stephen Goss

I grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I attended Dartmouth High School and was a member of that school's only provincial football championship team in 1971. Football remains my true love in sports. (Hockey? Not so much ... for a Canadian, I was a lousy skater.)

I left home in 1972 to find my way or lose myself, I suppose. I am an alumnus of Utah State University, majoring in Theatre Arts and dance, all part of that search. I met my future wife while attending college. A beautiful, professional dancer, who I followed to southern California in 1977, where today we make our home. We have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren.

I became a member of Burch Mann's American Folk Ballet dance company and its community outreach company, Grassroots America, dancing alongside my wife.

These experiences naturally led to my being a truck driver. I love to drive, and always have. Traveling ... moving through time and space ... has been my deepest love my whole life. It was the long hours behind the wheel on the open road that my desire to tell stories became a reality. I started writing during my off hours and many manuscripts fell by the wayside as I honed my skills as a writer.

I write in many genres, though middle grade and younger YA is my first love. I enjoy living in my dream world, though I am firmly rooted in the real world. I dabble in horror/thriller as well as romance.

Thanks for looking at my work. I hope you find something you like, something that takes you to another place for a short time ... away from the cares and worries of everyday life.
