Diane Head

Diane Head taught elementary school for forty years in Missouri, Texas, and Georgia. She has written four volumes of familiar plays for beginning readers. Along with her students, she created sets, designed costumes and puppets, and performed the plays. Since retiring from teaching, she has helped at an animal shelter, volunteered at a local library and at a bookstore. OPAL AND THE GREAT STEEPLECHASE RACE is her first published historical fiction book. She loves to see exciting new places, read, and be out in nature - as well as write for young readers.
