Michael A Greaves

I was born in Hyde, Tameside (formerly Cheshire), England just over seventy years ago and am married to Jan and have two sons Andrew (33) and Mathew (31). I went to St. George's Infants and Primary School until I was eleven and then progressed to Hyde County Grammar School where I passed seven very enjoyable years. I spent the majority of my working life as a Sales & Marketing professional, a good proportion of which I was self employed. I fully retired five years ago and moved down to Anglesey with my wife Jan a year later, having spent the majority of my married life around the Lancashire towns of Ramsbottom and Greenmount.

Before old age and infirmity took their toll, sport was my great love (playing competitively not watching!!!). My favourites were cricket, which took up the majority of my spare time in Summer, and squash in winter (which I played to keep me fit for the cricket!!). I now play some social golf and enjoy the stunning coastal walks around our new home on the Isle of Anglesey off the North West coast of Wales.

"An Island Mystery" was my first book in the "Anglesey Mystery" trilogy series, which I wrote during the lockdown from the Covid pandemic and following some very good feedback and positive reviews, I have now completed and published the second and third books in the series, "The intelligence Men", and the third and final chapter, "Loose Ends", which continues the story of the crooked solicitor Jonathon T Underwood and his criminal associates and activities, which were centred around the Isle of Anglesey.
