Meet the Brothers-in-Law!

Chris dreamed of writing a story that could bring people together, no matter their background. Francis dreamed of illustrating his own children’s book. When COVID lockdowns started, the brothers-in-law decided to pursue their dreams together and the Birdhouse Bash was born!

Chris Freitag is from Malta, NY. He graduated with a BA in English from the University of Albany before moving to Florida to work at Disney for several years. He returned to Upstate NY in 2021, where he resides with his girlfriend and dog. He’s a baseball fan and likes the New York Mets.

Francis Toriaga is from Manila, Philippines. He immigrated to Upstate NY when he was 9. He graduated with a BFA in Animation & Illustration from SUNY Fredonia before moving to NYC. He returned to Upstate NY in 2017, where he resides with his family. He’s a baseball fan and likes the Atlanta Braves.
