John Carter

John Carter "Grandad" is the author of the Grandad Stories, rhyming picture books for children from first understanding to around six years old. The stories are ideal for reading to the very young, and also for children who are learning to read.

I first wrote the stories for my own Grand-children then was persuaded by my older brother, Steve, to self-publish, which I did with the first three books, in 2019, Grandad's Wheelbarrow, Grandad's Fish-pond and Grandad's Red Van. I have since published two more books, Grandad's New Car and Grandad's Lawnmower. All of the books are part of "The Grandad Stories" which is a series. I have written the next five books in this series, which have I have yet to publish, at November 2021.

I am the cartoon Grandad in the stories, and the stories are based on things that exist in real life.

I am well into my sixty's and I am still working in property renovation and landscape construction. I also run a small B&B at our cottage in the Cotswolds
