Jeffrey Harper is national prize-winning playwright and novelist. He is the author of A Few Thoughts from a Small Life, a book of reflections on love, culture, psychotherapy and other topics, and two novels – Thy Will Be Done, a psychological thriller and Please Cooperate, a comedy of manners about social class and real estate in Manhattan. He is at work on a third novel, Love’s Prosecutor, about sex crime prosecution in Renaissance Venice during wartime and the Black Plague pandemic.
Jeffrey’s plays and a musical have received productions and staged readings in New York, Los Angeles and London. His true-crime drama with gospel music In the Valley of the Shadow was awarded the Playwrights First Award. His play Remembrance, about three friends attempting to survive Stalin’s Terror was a Finalist in MultiStages New Plays Contest.
Born in Montreal, a graduate of Harvard, he is a psychotherapist in New York City and has worked on volunteer development projects in West Africa.
