Murt Malone

Murt Malone also writes as Martin Malone. He is ex-military with extensive tours to the M.E. on UN missions. He holds a Masters Degree in the Philosophy of Creative Writing(Distinction)from Trinity College Dublin. His works have been published and broadcast by Simon&Schuster, Doire Press, Thames&Hudson, Owl Fella's Press, BBC Radio 4, RTE Radio 1, The Malahat Review(Can), The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, and others. His winning awards include the Sunday Independent/John B. Keane Literary Award; RTE Francis MacManus Short Story Prize; Killarney Bookshop International Short Story Prize; Inaugural Cecil D Lewis Literary Award; Dennis O'Driscoll Literary Award...Arts Council of Ireland Literature Grants...He also taught ESOL for years to war and economic refugees...he lives in County Kildare with his wife, Valerie.
