Nik Terry doesn’t just write action-packed, pulse-racing stories—she lives them. Whether it’s throwing punches in the boxing ring, stepping into the cage, or tearing down the road with a motorcycle club, she believes the best way to write raw, gritty scenes is to experience them firsthand. Research, right? At least, that’s what she tells herself when she ends up in questionable places, drinking with questionable people.

She thrives on adrenaline, both on the page and in life. Her books always lean to the dark side—probably to keep up with her addiction to high-stakes, high-speed chaos. If she’s not writing, she’s moving—riding horses, walking for miles just to clear her head, doing anything that makes “relaxing” look like a foreign concept.

Born and raised in the North East of England, Nik is a mum to two fierce daughters, a wife to a man who’s long accepted that a quiet life isn’t in her DNA. When she does sit still, it’s only for a good movie—meaning hard-hitting action, crime, or anything with an antihero worth rooting for (think Reacher, The Godfather, Gangs of London).
