Robin L. Bennett is a storyteller who believes in the power of storytelling to enliven, educate and inspire.
She tells stories using all her senses, employing humor and a captivating character based on her real-life "Aunt Sissy Boone." Robin was raised on stories from Aunt Sissy Boone's life as an educator. This experience helped shape Robin into a lifelong advocate for education both locally and abroad. Her experiences with travel and professional career as a business counselor at University North Carolina at Wilmington have inspired more than one story that she will share with you through this series.
Robin is a native New Jerseyan who has called North Carolina home for over thirty years with her husband, Benjamin, son, and granddaughter. She credits her Aunt Nellie (Sissy) Boone and granddaughter Bria Katherine for the inspiration of the colorful and engaging character of Aunt Sissy Boone, who will appear in each book of the series.
Robin also draws on her own experiences as an author, mother, and grandmother to create engaging presentations for schools that want to encourage reading on diversity and inclusion, anti-bullying and friendships among their students.
