Stephan Friedman

Stephan Friedman was born in 1976 in the shadow of the Ural Mountains, a land of dark forests, ancient folklore, and stories that refuse to remain buried. An out-of-body experience in his early years left him questioning the boundaries of reality and set him on a lifelong fascination with the occult, the mystical, and the unseen.

His stories have appeared in supernatural and horror fiction anthologies around the world. His debut collection of short stories and poems, Serpentine Supplications, was published by Mount Abraxas Press in 2019.

Friedman has lived in Israel, the United States, and Central Europe. When he is not writing, he creates dark ambient and dark folk music, drawn to those places where reality becomes dream, history becomes legend, and the known world begins to unravel.
