Anton Corvus

Anton Corvus spent most of his career in the financial sector. Many of the positions he held required him to travel quite widely and often work abroad for lengthy periods. As he was away from home a lot, he wrote bedtime stories for his two sons, which he read to them, initially over the phone and later via Skype. Although he was successful in his career, the nature of the work was very time-intensive, and as he had long-held aspirations to become an author, he decided after reaching age fifty to change tack so that he could spend time on writing. He now splits his time between writing and working as a consultant from his home in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

After experimenting with several styles and genres for a year, he finally finished his first book, “The Whippet Wizards”, in late 2018 and then collaborated with a noted Polish graphic artist to get the book illustrated. The book was published in October 2019. While his first book was being illustrated, he completed his second picture book, “The Bravest Little Lamb”, first published in May 2020. Anton also completed his first novel, “The Lyme Brook Mist”, in 2019, and Matador published this in the Autumn of 2020.

In 2021, he focused more time on collaborative projects, including helping to set up a new literary consultancy business, Castle Tower Consulting. During the initial stages of Castle Tower Consulting’s operations, Anton agreed to illustrate “The Saviour Abandons Man: An Eschatological Meditation in Three Cantos”, written by Alexander J. Farrell.

Anton also edits, proofreads, writes poetry, and produces pieces of Giclée art. A piece of his artwork, “The Empty Chair”, was recently used on the cover of a new edition of James Allen’s classic book “As a Man Thinketh”, for which Anton also wrote the introduction.
