Greg Dorchak

Greg Dorchak grew up in the Adirondack park of upstate New York, the son of a Forest Ranger and a Registered Nurse. He got into acting very early, maybe 2nd grade, and also loved to draw and make up short stories. In high school he started drawing cartoons that would later become a strip he published while in college, and also drew greeting cards. The comic strips later became short scripts, and the acting went to stand-up comedy and improv. After moving to Austin, Texas in the early 90's, Dorchak resumed an acting career in commercials and film, wrote and directed sketch comedy on stage, wrote a few children's books, and soon was writing and directing feature films. HOW TO PULL A MOVIE OUT OF YOUR ASS is a book of information and expectations in broad strokes for the first time filmmaker written from Dorchak's experience making his first feature KOPY KINGS in 2015.
