Steph Winkeler

Steph Winkeler enjoys creating children's books to support children with speech/language development. With over 13 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working within the Early Intervention and School Settings, Steph enjoys the creative process of bringing a book idea to life. Steph creates, draws and designs, writes, and edits each of her books. Her illustrations are created by modifying shapes including circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, crescents, diamonds, etc. into her thematic storylines to create characters, settings, and other thematic concepts to complete each story. Each story is simplistic and repetitious to support children's understanding of speech/language concepts, curated by age and developmental skill level, to support children with receptive and expressive language skills. Most stories include a cut-out companion activity within the book so that children can experience the story elements. Created for early preschool through early elementary grades.
