Steve Patterson

Steve Patterson is a former soldier, survivor, and counselor whose raw, unfiltered voice brings depth and grit to the worlds of recovery, healing, and transformation. A U.S. citizen now living in Colombia, Steve writes from the inside out—every word earned through lived experience, not theory.

He is the author of This Is How It Feels to Heal, a brutally honest memoir and guide through the psycho-spiritual terrain of recovery, as well as the creator of The Healing Pathways Program, now available in two first-edition volumes: a Facilitator Guide and Companion Workbook. This innovative curriculum blends clinical structure with mythic narrative, somatic practices, and emotional truth, offering a fresh and deeply human approach to healing.

A liver transplant recipient and former addict, Steve is also the founder of Valkyrie Counseling Group and the creator of Healing Pathways, a modular program built for those navigating trauma, addiction, and the long road back to self. His work lives at the crossroads of strategy and soul, where healing isn't sanitized—it’s earned.
