Julie Stephenson

Hi. My name is Julie Stephenson. I have always had a love for physical exercise and sport, and was always very fit and healthy.

When it came to choosing a team member to represent our school, whether, High Jump, 100 and 200 metre races or Netball, I was always there. It is my belief that my health was due to the care given to me in the first 16 years of my life at home.

My mother would always receive herbs and remedies from her mother, back home in the small island of Grenada. So any ailment her children had, we had a herbal remedy to assist our body heal itself; not forgetting the yearly purge of Castor Oil every summer holidays. I thought that I might train as a herbal doctor one day.

Having had a good start, as I grew older my lifestyle changed. I began to party a lot and all those things associated with it. As a consequence, when I actually decided to put all those bad habits away, my body began to crave sugary and fizzy substances. I piled on the weight, going from a very slim size 8 - 10, to a size 14 - 16 in 6 years. So what changed?

I went to the University of Reading and studied degrees in Politics, International Relations, and Philosophy. From there I went on to do a Masters degree in Theology. However, I did not follow up careers in those fields, instead, my interest went back to lifestyle and natural health.

Our Mental and Physical health is inextricably linked with our Spiritual health, therefore my focus is Holistic in its approach.

Since my awakening to this truth, I have followed my heart and focused on those three aspects of life. I went from that size 14 /16 back to a size 10.

I work with my husband Mike and our work has spanned the Caribbean, South America, as well as the UK.
