Kizzy Petit is a children’s author and memoirist whose stories explore courage, imagination, and the quiet power of becoming.
With a background in journalism and education, Kizzy began writing as a way to make sense of the world, but it was motherhood that transformed her voice. Her daughter became the living inspiration behind Stories of an Unhurried Childhood, a picture book series celebrating slow living, emotional intelligence, and connection to nature.
Her children’s books combine lyrical storytelling with rich watercolour illustrations, inviting families to rediscover presence, wonder, and the magic of ordinary moments.
Alongside her work for children, Kizzy writes for women navigating reinvention, resilience, and identity after life’s unexpected turns. Her upcoming memoir, The Unexpected Gift, explores survival, silence, and the deeper transformation that shaped the stories she now shares with the world.
Originally from Venezuela and now based in the UK, Kizzy writes about legacy, courage, and what it means to choose yourself, even when no one else does first.
