I grew up in a town incorporated in 1683. The farmers fed the locals, carted their products to Worcester and Boston, and were instrumental in hiding war materiel from the British Regulars. Some historians believe that the British would cross the bridge in Concord on their way to Stow,. I always wanted to research what happened during the buildup to the 'shot heard around the world.' That research led me to write When Thirteen Became One.
Surrounded by old stories and history, I continued my research and discovered some stories about men and women who aided in the Underground Railroad: The Wheel. As an author, I penned the recollections of my experience in Vietnam as an Army infantryman: Selected Memories of Vietnam 1969 -1970.
