Andrew Ekpenyong earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge, UK, in 2012. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Physics in 2007 from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, USA, where he is currently a professor. Dr Ekpenyong teaches Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Instruments and Methods, Dosimetry and Radiation Protection, Physics of Radiotherapy, Biophysics as well as General Physics. He has supervised research and taught both graduates and undergraduates at Technical University, Dresden, Germany and Creighton University, Omaha, USA. Dr Ekpenyong has authored/co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals in physics and medical physics. His research and ensuing discoveries have ranged from the physics of cancer (a new frontier bordering on the mechanical properties of cancer
cells and their role in cancer disease and metastasis) to the physics of radiation therapy. In jocular fashion, his research is in the surrounding of the cell nucleus and the atomic nucleus. A bit more seriously, this is part of the feld of biomedical physics.
Dr Andrew Ekpenyong is a Catholic priest, scientist, theologian and philosopher. Rev Fr Dr Ekpenyong's 7 books cover these various disciplines. His more-than-30 original research publications in peer-reviewed journals make him an outstanding scientist who is at the same time a priest and person of faith. He has designated that all royalties from his 7th book: Mathematical Physics for Nuclear Experiments, be donated to the 100% free hospitals which he founded in rural areas of south-south Nigeria to help the less privileged: Joseph Ukpo Hospitals and Research Institutes with url: https://www.juhri.org/.
