Thao Te

Thao Nguyen Te is the middle child and only daughter to Mary Hong Truong and David Anh Nguyen. Phuc (her oldest brother), Tho (her youngest brother), and Thao were born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Thao received her undergraduate degree in Real Estate and Marketing and an MBA, with a specialization in Finance, both from the University of Denver. Thao, along with her business partner Jason, own and operate a multi-family investment and property management company in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The Brave Who Crossed the Sea is Thao’s first published book. She wrote this memoir as a gift to her parents. Her hope was to document their harrowing journey as a legacy for their family and a glimpse into Vietnamese American refugees achieving the American Dream. Thao also started No Limits Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization to support those looking to further their careers or improve their quality of life through training, learning, and education. Proceeds from this book will go towards the foundation’s cause.

Thao currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, Davuth, and her two children, Emma and Austin. She considers family, friends, the business, and faith to be most important to her. When she’s not spending time with her family and friends, you can find her working, traveling, or closing her Apple watch fitness rings.
