Bret Nicks

Bret Nicks works as an emergency medicine physician at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC. He is an educator, administrator, blogger, entrepreneur, and first-time author (Standing Naked in the Rain, 2021). He is married and the father of two teenagers. Instilled at a young age while growing up in the Pacific Northwest, he loves being outdoors, especially when sharing time with two- or four-footed friends. He is passionate about living life to its fullest and as highlighted in his book, believes there are few things in life that can equate to the unconditional love between a dog and its family.
