My first book, Shepherd of the Downs - the life and songs of Sussex shepherd, Michael Blann, has been a steady seller ever since it was first published in 1980. It is now in its third edition. During my teaching career (as a Chemist!) I published several other books of Morris and Folk Dances, reflecting my life-long interest in all aspects of folk music. When I took early retirement in 1995 I revisited a novel that I had started several years earlier, very loosely based on my experiences as an undergraduate at Cardiff during the 1960s. This debut novel, A Matter Of Degree, was eventually completed and published in 2011. It has also proved to be a steady seller. Over the past ten years I have published a book of short stories and poems, and three more novels, including a sequel to my first one. I am currently working on another mystery to follow up my most recent thriller, Interface. I have been living in Devon (UK) with my wife since 1973.
