Randy Gaddo developed his writing skills as a United States Marine Corps Combat Correspondent. For twenty years he served as a photojournalist, editor, press chief and media officer, telling the Marine Corps story to the local, national and international public. He has been published in many military and civilian newspapers, magazines, periodicals and other publications. He is now a freelance writer. The "Essence of Time" trilogy is his first entrance into writing books and The Perilous Adventures of Time Travel is the first book in that trilogy. He writes for children because reading books was important to him as a child. He read to his children when they were young and knows how important the plots, action and characters are to his readers. He writes with the reader in mind, whether that reader is a child, a parent reading to their child or a teacher or librarian searching for new, exciting, age-appropriate books for their students. Randy earned a bachelor's degree in International Affairs and a Master's in Public Administration. He and his wife, Ellen, live in Athens, Georgia and have three grown children.
