Raised in Calgary Alberta Canada, Andrew Baker adopted an aptitude for Computers and IT as a teenager. In the early 90s, after being introduced to his first computer and then the interconnectivity of local multi user chat rooms, he became fascinated with the intrigue of “how”. At the dawn of broadband internet, he launched his own online gaming service from his bedroom while living with his parents. The hosts of a competing online service nearly succeeded in hacking his system during an attempted malicious competitive take down. This spawned an intense vengeance driven crash course in cyber espionage where he not only swiftly learned how to exploit the vulnerabilities of offending online systems, he also learned how to protect them.
Fast forward to present day and Andrew is the owner of a thriving IT Management and Cyber Security Services business in his home town. Cyber protection is always been at the forefront of his mind in conjuring ways that networks could fall vulnerable where corners are cut. He then adopts prevention practices and vowing never to let his clients’ networks fall victim to an otherwise preventable incident.
Andrew is an avid snowboarder, traveler, camper and outdoors lover that spends time away from cities for days at a time without connectivity to the outside world. Through his business, he offers confidence in the security and stability of the networks he supports so that he and the staff of his customers can rest easy and focus on the life experiences that truly matter.
