Paul Rusling

An avid music fan and budding radio engineer while still at school, Paul began his career as a DJ on Radio Caroline. At that time Caroline broadcast from a ship in international waters. Paul was breakfast show DJ on the stations Top 40 station but more lucrative work as a night club DJ lured him away from radio and he ran several pubs in London.

Among his clients have been Virgin Radio, Sky Radio, Classic FM, the Dutch state broadcast company, Nozema and others. As well as broadcast work, Paul chaired symposiums at broadcast conventions and wrote articles for trade press such as Broadcast, World Radio, the Radio Magazine and leading British newspapers such as the Sunday Times and the Yorkshire Post. He's written fourteen books, about radio engineering, programming and administration and music.

Recent years saw Paul advising clients on Podcasting, which is simply making radio programmes available online for listeners to download to their own schedule. His latest book explains the history, the technical aspects and the business of Podcasting, the fastest growing medium.
