Johnette Downing

Recipient of the 2017 Louisiana Writer Award, Johnette Downing is an author, musician, cut-paper collage illustrator, and haiku poet with eleven recordings for children, and thirty board, picture, nonfiction, and poetry books. Called the "Musical Ambassador to Children" and the "Cajun Raffi," Johnette has performed her Louisiana roots music and books for children on five continents.
