Mandy Pullen is an eco-shaman living and practising out of a wild cottage garden on the edge of a hill, forest and county in Gloucestershire. Her greatest belief is that “the greater part of the soul is outside the body”, a quote from the 16th century Polish alchemist, philosopher and doctor Michael Sendivogius. It is this belief that drives her work as a teacher, mentor and writer, helping people to use their powers of perception and perspective to create living paradigms that change with the anima mundi or world soul. She runs courses and workshops in Eco Shamanism and writes a regular newsletter together with articles for various magazines. You can sometimes find her on a pilgrimage or chatting with the birds or she’ll meet you in the dream world . . . more reliably you can find her through the website www.ecoshamanism.org.uk
In a former life she set up and ran a small market garden along organic, sustainable and permaculture lines in order to sell boxes of vegetables and some of the first salad bags to a local clientele. Her book 'Valuable Vegetables’ from 2004 encourages others to grow foods for themselves and their local communities . . . a practise that has gained in popularity, even more so as our world slides from global to local.
