Anthony Doyle is the author of Hibernaculum, a speculative novel about human hibernation; the poetry book Jonah's Map of the Whale and Other Poems, a turn-of-the-21st-century rereading of the Jonah story; and two children’s books in Portuguese, the most recent of which, O Livro de Sereias Surpreendentes, he also illustrated.
His fiction tends toward the playful, mythical, and philosophical, while his poetry favors the narrative over the confessional. He also writes short stories and flash fiction. He is currently writing Hyle, a light sci-fi trilogy with paranormal elements.
Doyle was born in Dublin, Ireland, but lives in São Paulo, Brazil, with his wife, daughter, and a growing assortment of unruly animals.
