Luca Borghi

Luca Borghi is Associate professor of History of Medicine at Campus Bio-Medico University in Rome, Italy. He is a member of the Italian Society for the History of Medicine and coordinator of the Society’s research group about Italian anatomical theatres (THESA Project). He acts as the Italian National Delegate to the International Society for the History of Medicine and is editor of the Society’s quarterly Newsletter. He is also co-editor of the international journal Medicina Historica. His research interests range from material culture studies (Himetop – The History of Medicine Topographical Database: himetop.net) to the biographical approach to history of medicine. Among his latest books: La penna di Florence Nightingale (Pontecorboli 2020, with Donatella Lippi), Osler and Italy (KDP 2019) and Breve historia de la medicina (Rialp 2018).
