Jeanette Hogan Wright

Jeanette Wright, a psychotherapist currently in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa, was a tenured associate professor at Drake University.

Her first book, The Art of Attention: an Application of the Affect and Script Psychology of Silvan S. Tomkins, was published in 2005 in collaboration with Virginia Demos.

Travelling with a Sense of Absence, her second book, published in 2014, explores her own life through language and art.

Wright has presented her work at Self-Psychology conferences in Canada and Santa Fe, New Mexico; at conferences of The American Psychiatric Association, in Boston; on Trauma and Dissociation in Chicago; and at conferences on Affect and Script Theory at the Tomkins Institute in Philadelphia.
