Meet Blake “Professor B” Simon (see-moan), a native of Southwestern Louisiana who later moved to Missouri City, TX where he spent much of his childhood. His story of abandonment, tragedy, resilience, and perseverance is one that resonates with anyone! Professor B is a Higher Education Consultant and featured speaker at over 100 higher education institutions, secondary schools, conferences, and programs across the nation. His presentations focus on topics including Student Success, First-Year College Experience, Career Readiness, Self-Awareness, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Professor B’s passion is ensuring that the educational system in our nation cultivates success for all students, especially first-generation and those of low socioeconomic status. He developed “The Transition College M.A.P. (Master Action Plan)” framework that has been used by several colleges, universities and other related programs to frame college success curriculums. Professor B is the author of "The Transition Guide & Journal: A Simple Tool for Students to Help Maximize the College Experience" which focuses on student success in college and beyond!
He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc and is an active community mentor in Missouri City, TX. In 2017, Prairie View A&M University recognized Professor B for his efforts naming him top 40 under Forty Alumni. Professor B believes that "once you act your passion, you will walk into your purpose".
