J. J. Meyer

As a published author it affords me the time to expand my repertoire to include historic westerns, military sagas, mysteries and non-fiction.

I write under both Jim Meyer and J.J. Meyer and have 21 published books; several short stories and a new western series remains ready to be launched in 2026 under the J.J. Meyer moniker.

Originally from Rochester, New York, I now call Midlothian, Virginia home. I served my country in the US Air Force for 34 years. I dabbled in owning a business and later went on to work for the Virginia Community College System at John Tyler Community College before retiring.

I am the father of two children and grandfather to five.

I like to travel out west to learn more about its rich history, people and folklore.

Writing is like your best friend, seeing it in print is the result of countless hours of that enjoyable friendship.
