Ashley W. Slaughter

Ashley W. Slaughter was born and raised in south Louisiana. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2018 and worked as a veterinary assistant and wildlife biologist before pursuing her career as an author. Writing has always been a passion of hers, as shown through her near-to-bursting manila folder of short stories she'd written throughout grade school. She began her publishing journey in 2021 with her debut award-winning novel, Of Legends and Roses. She spends her days with her husband, sons, and three cats.
