I write stories that are usually short, sometimes sweet, and always self-reflective. Beyond being easy to read, short stories are the way we speak to one another. When you tell me a story about your day, that's one. When you tell me about your past, that's another one. We're all telling short stories all the time. I like to put them on paper.
I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Comparative Literature in 2020. I wrote Confessions of a Belly Dancing Sofa that same year, and published it 1.5 years later. It is my first public work and to date, my most beloved. The story I recount in the book is about my first two years in college. I plan to publish a longer version of it in the future. Currently, I have an ongoing weekly blog where I write about love, confidence, and dating. You can find it at sahfacles.com.
