Ciara Marie Attong is a Trinidadian author, poet, and multidisciplinary artist. She debuted at nineteen with "Dark & Cold," the first book in "The Dark & Cold Series" (2019), and has since published five poetry collections: "butterfly breaths" and "euphorically chaotic dystopias" (2022), as well as "Soul Strings," "The Hollow Aches," and "The Matter of Existence" (2023). Born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, Ciara attended Holy Faith Convent Penal and pursued her BA in English Language and Literature with Education from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, in 2023.
A lifelong reader and writer, Ciara completed her first 100-chapter novel draft at sixteen and two more novels at seventeen. From 2019 to 2021, she experimented with publishing across formats, ultimately self-publishing internationally via Amazon. Her work spans poetry and teen, young, and new adult fiction -romance, royalty, fantasy, slice of life, drama, and mystery. Her latest work, "Meeting Atalin", is featured in the 2026 publication "Woven Voices: An Anthology of Poems and Short Stories" edited by Aminah Ali, marking her West Indian Short Fiction debut.
Beyond writing, Ciara is a visual and performing artist, a trained singer, experienced actor, and entrepreneur. She has performed on stage, appeared in commercials and short films, and is a privately commissioned visual artist. Passionate about advocacy, she supports self-love, mental health, and animal rights. In 2024, she founded the POV Writers' Lodge, a Discord community for creative writers worldwide. In 2025, she founded Smart Indie Consults -a company committed to assisting aspiring independent authors in taking their indie from idea to international reach. At twenty-six, Ciara continues to inspire others, with many new projects in development and a steadfast commitment to motivating others through her art.
