Daniel Perek

Daniel Perek is a Messianic Jew, having grown up in the Christian faith, but having discovered the relevance of his Jewish heritage and how thoroughly Jewish his Messiah is by reading the Brit Khadashah [New Testament] scriptures. During his time as a Navy submariner, he found himself in need of his Savior, and began to devote himself to the study of The Word, and to seeking the best way to worship and serve The Creator. He discovered the 'feasts', particularly Rosh HaShannah, or Yom Teru'ah, while on duty in a submarine base in Georgia. Around that same time, he stumbled quite by happenstance upon an upstart Messianic Jewish Synagogue in Jacksonville, Florida, and knew he had found "the way" to worship and serve. Thirty years later, he founded a second Messianic Synagogue in the Houston metroplex, and has written all the liturgy necessary for worship, not finding satisfactory liturgy available to the wider Messianic community. His desire is that his books bring greater unity to the faith.
