As a database specialist/architect with 36+ years of experience, Roger Cornejo has been designing, architecting, developing, and tuning complex Oracle applications since version 4.

Roger spent 14 years specializing in DB performance analysis and tuning using methods he developed. These methods use AWR metrics in a novel way and were developed, tested, and implemented while actively supporting more than 300 production instances and over 2,500 applications. With the recent shift from on-premise to cloud-hosted data and data centers, Roger Cornejo has been using his database architecture expertise to architect cloud migration strategies, including, innovating in the space of Oracle cloud migrations, creating a framework for evaluating database readiness for cloud migration by flagging up migration pain-points and informing capacity planning decisions with AWR metrics.
