Ellen Weir Casey is a best-selling writer and multiple, literary award nominee. She has dedicated her life to educating children and helping women navigate fertility treatment with confidence and hope. Ellen made headlines in 1983, giving birth to one of the world's first IVF babies, known as "Colorado's Miracle Baby." She is a national and international speaker on IVF, fertility, family building, women's history and gives media interviews about her experience as an in vitro pioneer.
She is a graduate of Colorado College, earning both a BA in English and a master’s degree in education. Ellen is delighted when she is still introduced today as the mother of “Colorado’s first test-tube baby.” She lives in the shadow of Pikes Peak, in the foothills of Colorado Springs.
