Guy Robin

Guy Robin came to writing later in life. After a career in the Metropolitan Police, it was not until the time and solitude afforded to him by the lockdown restrictions that led to a fulfilment to write his first piece of fiction, Dysfunction in 2022. A slightly dystopian tale about a couple stranded during a fictional pandemic on a remote Scottish island.

A second novel, Indomitable, followed in February 2024. This second story was a grand historical fiction set during the first half of the 20th century, based on the life of his German grandfather, Karl, who emigrated to Great Britain from Germany in 1899.

A third book, 'On The Beat' was published in late 2024 and has received extremely favourable reviews. It deals with Guy's early years policing the streets of London in the 1980's and 90's.

Guy is married to Paula and they spent many years in a quiet town in Sussex. In 2023 they made the decision to try something new. In July of that year they finally moved to a house in a small village in the Dordogne region of France.

Guy's latest story, Frenzy was published in December 2025. It is a frightening thriller set in the French Pyrenees, guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat . Guy keeps audiences guessing as he writes a variety of genres.

Guy’s interests are many and varied. He played hockey for many years for the Police and then for Crowborough Hockey club in Sussex, where he met his wife, Paula. Guy enjoys the outdoors, particularly walking great distances across the South Downs and now along the many French footpaths of his region. He collects GB, US and Olympic stamps and Scottish single Malt whisky. He is a keen motorcyclist. He is now enjoying exploring the backroads of France and beyond, when not writing.

Guy has a new novel underway, which will be finished and published in 2026.
